Is this a good deal? Seems like all that's needed is to slap a 8800GTX into the machine and one would be set for UT3...

Don't know the specs on the power supply, tho.

Damn, that's a really nice machine for the money.

Those are some nice specs for the price. Acer is one of those brands IMO that you take a 75% chance of getting some really good quality hardware. I've worked on a lot of Acers in my time and some have been great little machines and some have not. But hey, for that price, I'd go for it.

Thats a pretty good price for a prebuilt machine.

After the price drops though, you could probably build something with better quality (and more specific) parts for not much more.

Not bad for prebuilt, I saw a similar (actually worse due to the graphics chip) HP computer at Circuit City for $1100.

even if you replace the PSU with your own money you are still getting a good mahchine!.

I wonder how well it cools. A mini tower seems awfully cramped for a Q6600.

Put it in a new case for cooling and DEFINETLY get yourself a better psu, ESPECIALLY if you plan on getting anything remotely power-hungry such as an 8800 series card.
