I have E6400 as you can see from my sig...

Would it be really worth it to upgrade to newer processor? Dual or quad? Which one is worth it? Or sticking with the brand new line of processor is worth it?

If you think sticking with the brand new line of processors is more worth it, then what's a step down from it is the best?

I wouldn't do any upgrade. You're already running 3.0Ghz. If you do go for quad...:D

Keep what you have for now.

Wait to see how quad cores help the next wave of big games. If it looks like they help a lot, go for it. :)

But what's with Q6600 G0? Is that the newer processor?

Supposedly these processors run cooler and with less voltage than the older steppings. If this is true, these processors would be ideal for overclocking.

If they goto 4ghz on air I'd buy one of those.

I don't think even a Q6600 G0 could do 4GHz on air, but I haven't been around XtremeSystems much lately. :D

It's just too much heat.

I'm planning on going with a quad...once the price drops low enough...
