Well of course I simply cannot leave well enough alone and have to mess with things LOL.
So I install LoTR Online yesterday and fire it up, I use auto configure in the game at first to see what it sets things at and try it out. Seems a bit sluggish compared to when I played it before so I go hmm… let’s try the 163.11 drivers again, I was using the 158.24. So I set a system restore point and proceed to install the 163.11, the install seems to hang for a very long time so I end up hitting reset. Comp comes back up fine and running 163.11, I go hmm it must have installed ok so I check SLI and need to turn it on, comp goes away for a long time and have to do a restart again. So back up it comes and everything seems fine.
So now I go back into Profiles and see what LoTR Online settings are and it goes Not Responding every time I select it, however others work fine. So I figure something got messed up in that install and do a system restore and back to where I was before with np, except LoTR Online still does a Not Responding every time I select it.
Is there a way to repair profiles ?
Looks like I will have to end up doing a complete un-install of all drivers and re-install them again. Oh well stuff happens :)
Fix'd this problem. Un-Install drivers, safe mode and delete Nvidia folder, re-install 163.11. Nothing stranged happened this time and everything is back to normal.
