Rubbish thread title though :thumbdwn:

Bugger, I was hoping to update my directx7 in vista :(
KB sounds rather black and white, like it should either work or won't, so I would guess that if SLI works for you then you won't need this hotfix?
Vista detects I have two 7800s no problem.
edit: This video card uses multiple graphics processing units (GPUs).
So maybe only cards such as the 7950 were affected?

I have stopped having "driver stopped responding" errors with the 163.11s since installing this patch
Lol..the other topic is a bit not clear, but i thought this patch was global fix.

I will definitely have to give this a try when I get home to see if it stops for me as well.
If this fixes the nvlddmkm issues I'm gonna name my next kid 'Article 936710'.

I have a feeling your next child will be named BSOD or nvlddmkm. :captnkill:

i want to see the copy of birth certificate with that name
Just downloaded x86 and x86-64 versions from Microsoft website (Premier Offerings): this one definitively does not affect DX9 performances.
Had no effect for me on BF2. While BF2 FPS was 30-40, the frames were very laggy, unlike on XP which is smooth. SLI Bars are showing, but they seem very weak.

;) I'm guessing thats more likely.
Installed the hotfix--no errors yet (but I've been w/o errors since going back to 158.45) and 3dMark06 score was about 100pts lower than before. No big deal, but no SLI improvements at all. I did try changing the SLI rendering mode to AFR1 as well as single.

It doesn't. I wish it did. I have had it on my SLI rig for about a month now.
