I just got back from Italy, and i took a jvc GZ-HD7 hi-def camcorder, and it has a hard drive on it. question is, is there a good free video editing program out there that someone can recommend, im a total newbie at this, so if anyone has a site or a tutorial to teach me some stuff that would be great. i don't wanna loose any of the quality of the hi-def. i have Nero 7 ultimate and the program that comes with the camera, but i know theres probably something else out there thats better. any recommendation's are appreciated.

Windows Movie Maker in Vista can export/edit Hi-Def movies, and is "free" (with the OS). If you want something more advanced, Ulead VideoStudio Plus is cheap and easy enough to use: http://www.ulead.com/vs/
