For those who don't know, the alt-tab bug is a problem that is affecting many GeForce 8 users where a game will progressively slow down until it becomes unplayable. The problem is temporarily fixed by alt-tabbing in and out however performance will degrade again within a matter of minutes.

As such, I've taken it upon myself to try and find the cause of the problem. I need to collect data on systems that are affected by this bug and systems that aren't affected by this bug.

This process does not gather any personally identifiable data (with the exception of the registered owner of your copy of Windows, something that can be easily removed from the text file if you so choose) and will go a long way towards identifying any methods that might be used to work around the problem.

If you'd like to help, simply follow the instructions below :

1.Download SiSoft Sandra Lite (http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/fclick/fclick.php?fid=49) and install it. Sandra is a utility for gathering information about your computer's setup. It's similar to DXDiag but it provides much more information about the low level hardware configuration of your computer.

2.Goto tools and click Create Report.

3.Click the next button (Right Green Arrow)

4.Select Make Choices and Generate Report From The Dropdown. Then click the next button.

5.Make sure everything is checked under hardware and then click the next button.

6.Make sure everything is unchecked under benchmarks and then click the next button.

7.Make sure everything is checked for software. Do not click next yet.

8.Select operating systems and then click on the Options Button.

9.Find Include Product ID and Uncheck It. Then click the green checkmark button.

10.Click Next Twice

11.Please include in the comments section whether this is a report for a computer that is experiencing the problem or a report for one that isn't. Then click next.

12.Make sure Save To Disk is selected then Click Next.

13.Make sure that Plain Text Format and Unicode are selected then Click Next.

14.Click The Green Checkmark Button. Sandra will now compile information about your system which can take anywhere from 1-15 minutes depending on the speed of your computer.

15.When Sandra is done, e-mail the System Report.txt file (Found in the directory you installed Sandra) to nvidiavrambug@gmail.com.

Thanks

I need at least a few from those who don't have the issue for comparison.
