Ya the registry keys they make reference to do not exsist on my computer. :thumbdwn:

still fighting with this. Had to do a google on it and try everything everyone else has tried. It appears to be fixed but we'll see.

I know it sucks and all but when all else fails back up and reformat the harddrive. Did you by chance disable DCOM? in serivces?

I have repaired windows and also reformatted and reloaded and the issue will not go away. No I did not try that one yet, how?:jumping:

The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{555F3418-D99E-4E51-800A-6E89CFD8B1D7}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

This user does not exist?

Well it ended up that this was all caused by BF2142 Beta 1.41. I removed the game and reloaded it and this time not the beta patch and I have had no issues at all. I played for a couple hours last night; which was nice.(nana2)
