Nero 7 Premium is good for me. I just do a custom install and deselect things I don't need.

Not touching any updates from them... I finally got Nero Scout running smooth again and I can stream to my PS3 just fine...

I'm have to try this Nero Scout. Tversity is being a pain in the ass!

All you need is Nero Scout and MediaHome server. Just have scout index all your movies and run the server. The PS3 will detect it just fine.

If only the PS3 could play mvk files. Then I'd be really set.

I'll give the Scout a whirl when I get home. Anything will be better than TVersity!

I know it can, but it chokes and dies with HD ones. :( Poor little xbox just doesn't have the power. I have been using my HTPC, but even thats getting long in the tooth and stutters with the HD files.

Im using transcoder360 now with the x360 but it sucks under vista :thumbdwn:

If they are embeded yeah but not softsubs. Worse is that the resizing of the PS3 pushes the subs lower so its hard to read at times.

yeah, thats why i hope that one day they will release XBMC on 360. the only reason why it would be worth it to buy that console

the 360 being even more closed than the xbox I think we'll see it on the PS3 first. I mean the PS3 has an option to load other OSes from the get go!

Would be funny if they did release it on PS3 but still called it XBMC.

If anything I can see Sony in the future making the PS3 more like XBMC with more and more firmware updates... I mean its getting dam close...

I've had quite a few problems with Nero 7, though I still use it with Vista (I have 6 on my xp partition)...2 problems off the top of my head....
1) First few versions of 7 would not burn CD's correctly (skipping like crazy)
2) Just yesterday, change some file names because when using Nerovision to burn xvids to dvd's, there would be a sync issue (EVERY TIME)...It was fixed by renaming a few files...Crazy that can't just fix stuff like that...
