Ive been hearing alot about the L shape that the memory has to be in , in order for it to be OC'd.

I belive thats the new Sapphire Radeon 9500 PCB which is MOD locked.

Ya I don't think that the PCB color matters at all.

You can try but I wouldn't gaurentee anything

I'm 99.99% certain that board will not work. Cards that can be modded have to look like the 9700 Pro, so that means the red PCB.

I read some reviews on the card and as late as 3/28/03 there were comments that people were acheiving the 9700 speed and performance through the "patches"

I think the cards can still be soft modded, but I thought you were talking about cards that could be hacked with the resistor/soldering iron. :)

that is not required to make them 9700 speeds...origanally yes, but driver patches have solved this without having to change anything on the board itself
