:thumbdwn: This is total crap.

How about they patch and actually finish Stalker1 first instead of trying to cash in on more money with another game that should have contained all this new stuff in Stalker1 to begin with.

In another thread it suggests thq are holding the patches back, not GSC. I'm most looking forward to new zones, armor/weapon repair, joining factions (nana2)

More than he played HL2 thats for sure :p

"A-Life-driven War of the Factions" means the arificial life system in Stalker that will drive the non-scripted battle between the factions . i think the feature was already there in Stalker.

Clear Sky n'a pas encore d'Úditeur "I can't tell you yet about the publisher for the prequel as we are still in discussions. Most likely it will not be THQ." - Oleg Yavosrky, GSC Gameworld.

Stalker i played through a total of 34 times.

You're joking right? Who on earth can play through the same game that many times and still enjoy it?

Nope, not joking. Was just running through garbage again when i had to go to work. I find it quite fun really, i try to find every single artifact and weapon and armour. You should really check out the Stalker Feedback thread. I had well over 150+ posts in there helping people out, mainly because i'd played it so much and knew where nearly everything was.

Yes.. Fast Travel.. I got tired of the original STALKER because of no fast travel.

That is the main reason I quit playing also. Anyone know if there is a true good working vehicle mod yet? Someone made one but it was kind of halfassed.

The 2nd thing I hated about this game was the horrible translation to English. Some missions I simple don't understand and have no clue where to go for them cause the Objective or Task makes no sense.

By the way, our artists have taken very seriously improve vegetation in the game and promised to make many pleasant surprises.

And in english , Weekly Update #6

http://www.oblivion-lost.de/index.php?zone=design2&lang=en&page=static&static_page=weekly6

Hi, everyone,

I am a bit behind on the weekly news, but, believe me, I have a good excuse of a private sort. But that's not the news yet.

Now, to the matter. The project is now in the phase of active development, when features come together to form the game. It is now, when it would be interesting to get the community participating in some areas. First of all, this way we get a better idea of what you like. Second, a fresh perspective is always useful. All in all, the project can only gain from this.

And so, I would like to open this up for discussion - community suggestions for quests.

Briefly, here are the conditions:

- The Blowout has changed the balance of powers in the Zone, and a Faction War for spheres of influences and territories has began.
- The playable factions we can at this point tell you about are: Bandids, Stalkers, Duty, Freedom. Scientists are partially playable.
- The main character is a mercenary. Initially, almost the whole community is neutral towards mercenaries.
- The military, Monolith, and zombies are awlways hostile towards the player.
- Each faction controls a level.
- Each faction has its own goals in story and side quests, based on its own ideology.
- We would like to hear suggestions for secondary and simulation quests, not storyline quests. That is, they should be single missions, or chains of no more than 3-4.

It is most difficult to come up with not just an awesome concept, but a quest we would be able to implement.

How to make it simpler:

- Keep in mind that this is STALKER, and not some game with totally different mechanics, like Max Payne or HL2, Elder Scrolls or War Craft, when you come up with an idea.
- Do not try describe the mechanics of the quest implementation from the point of view of the tool set. Just concentrate on the story, motivations, intrigue...
- Do not try to create literary descriptions of quests, such as: "Black rusty gates made dejected squeaks in cruel wind. The tired stalker can barely keep his yes open; his rifle is almost slipping out of his hands."
- Do not use in your quests objects and abilities that are not present in the original game (such as samurai swards or fishing rods, fireballs or pet monsters).
- Use the recommended format - this will make it simpler for us to read and work with the quests.

What can I promise to the best? Of course, the quest's implementation in the game, the right to name a character in the Zone as you wish, and addition of the author's name to the credits, of course.

Editor's Note:: You're able to post your quest-proposals in the forum, we created a special thread in the new area "Quest-proposals for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky" where you can post them into.
