My Athlon 2500(Barton) finally arrived!! Yeah buddy! Time to plug it in and make a killing... in Quake :)

Congrats man, I just got one too. You should be able to get it up to just about 2.3Ghz, which is faster than a Barton 3000+. I did.

BTW sebazve; the stock clock on a 2500+ is 1.833GHz :D

-I think you need something a little faster for Quake. Maybe if you get a good overclock... :rolleyes:

I hear a 1.7v does well for that kind of overclock, right now I'm mated to the retail HSF, so I'm going to wait to do any overclocking.

I have the CPU at 1.75v at the moment, but I might try dropping it it to 1.7v and see if it holds up. :dance:

I hear the OCability of XP2500+ vary alot
from chip to chip, some OC alot, some a little

the +12 rail only has 18A.. is that enough?
hope it doesnt make alot of noise or ill freak
