going Vista, what do I need?

I am about to get Vista Ultimate and need to know exactly what I am going to need as far as drivers.

I already have for Vista32:
nforce4 chipset package
Realtek AC'97 driver
nVidia 162.22 video driver

Hardware installed:
WD 80GB SATA150
Lite-On DVD/RW
D-Link wireless NIC(currently using Windows drivers)

I have already checked the majority of the programs/games I plan to install, I just need to know of any other drivers I may have overlooked, or hotfixes, etc. Thanks in advance.

Rig to run it is:

Toledo X2 4800+ s939
MSI K8N neo4-F
2x1024 pc3200(adding another 2x512 later)
8800GTS 640
Enermax Noisetaker 420w

Check on drivers for your mouse, scanner, printer, etc.
When I install Vista, then first thing I do is video card drivers followed by mouse drivers. That makes installing everything else a little easier.

All hardware listed, no scanner/printer :) Mouse used is standard MS optical...surely they have support built in for that? But thanks for the reply and the reminder of that anyway.

I probably have everything I need, I just didn't want to be w/o net access at the wrong time and find I am missing a tiny file, heh.

My only real concern now is my D-Link DWL-520(not 520+). US website shows Vista unchecked, UK website says compatible since Vista beta...guess I'll have to find out when the install occurs, otherwise I'll be buying a new wireless setup :(

hey what is the hardware id on that d-link?

if i remmember correct its atheros based, if so just get the latest atheros driver and you will be fine

Beats the **** outta me? Where would I look for that? I did google "dwl-520 atheros" and it seems to get alot of hits as being Atheros indeed, thx. If I experience any problem I will try that out.

you can't get the latest driver straight from atheros, but you can find them on http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atheros.htm

just get a driver from this group Atheros AR5001X, AR5002X, AR5002G, AR5004X, AR5004G, AR5004A , AR5005G, AR5005GS, AR5006X, AR5006XS, AR5006EXS, AR5006EX, AR5006EGS, AR5006EG, AR5006GS, AR5006GS, AR5006G, AR5006 AR5007/AR5008 Serie
