Too bad those drivers have terrible HDTV code. :(

Not only would it incorrectly scale 1080p, but the colors were totally washed out.

Those dumb sons of... It won't install on my graphics card. I think they forgot to upload the new version.

I sent them some angry feedback with a lot of curse words. Jesus Christ, is it so damn hard for them to mod the inf file, do I have to do it myself again?

I could beat them silly with an old ATi card.

Im sure this will count as our August driver, sigh. Only another 30 days till the next set which MIGHT fix some real issues....

So...does that mean the game actually runs now? The problem wasn't texture corruption, the problem was the game would immediately crash when you tried to start a game.

----Edit----

Nevermind, I failed to notice that these were Vista and not XP drivers.

Are the profiles still not saving settings made to them after a reboot? None of the 16x.xx drivers are saving changes to the profiles for me. I'm using 158.45 until they fix this.

I just noticed I can't play Red Faction anymore. It says at least 8 MB of video memory is needed to play Red Faction. Hmm.... I could play it before in Vista with the same hardware.

I noticed the same thing and finally figured it out!
In the NV control Panel under "3D Settings/Adjust image settings with preview" make sure "Use the Advanced 3D Image Settings" is selected . Mine defaulted to "Use my preference emphasizing..." and every time I changed a setting under advanced it reverted:(
When I changed the above suddenly all my profile settings worked :)

You need to edit the security on these 2 files:nvapps.xml and nvwsapps.xml.

Then it your 3d settings will be saved.

Credit goes to Grey_1 who told me that on these forums some time ago.

Just an FYI: On my Vista x64 the nvapps.xml dated the same as the driver files (163.11 7/9/2007) is installed under the SysWOW64 folder in the Windows directory-the nvwsapps.xml (same version and date) is installed under System32.
Both files have full permissions set but don't change when I change the 3D settings in CP
Under C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA there is a nvapps.xml which changes with the CP settings
