Just a heads up for some nice hardware which will be on-sale in next weeks ad..

24" Westinghouse Monitor
Model: L2410NM, SKU: 8268475
(personally I think its a pretty good looking monitor, great picture, and it has a lot of inputs...)

Regular Price: $579.99
best price I've seen it: $549.99 (employee)

It will be on-sale for $449.99. (Personally, I think its because we haven't sold too many.... even though its a nice monitor)

I am thinking about picking one up... not a bad price :)

Also any1 looking for large amounts of storage.

Hitatchi 1TB 3.5" External USB Hard Drive
Model: H31000U, SKU: 8355497

Regular Price: $389.99
best price I've seen it: $310 (employee)

It will be on-sale for only $279.99 (ridiculous price IMO.... I think its because Best Buy hasn't been selling them much at all..... I know personally in my store we haven't sold any.....)

Keep in mind the drive inside the enclosure is this same (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145141) drive. 1TB, 32mb cache, 7200 rpm.... superfast, quite drive.... with huge storage

so you can take out the drive use it as internal and still have an extra enclosure for much much less than if you were too buy one of the internal drives by itself.

Personally I think I am going to pick one up (or go all out and buy 2 :)) and do that......

Also another decent deal if you need a small portable 2.5" external hard drive ,would be the ------>

Hitachi 200gb 2.5" USB Portable Hard Drive

Model: H2200U, SKU: 8355709
Regular Price: $179.99

Sale-Price: $149.99

Thought I should post some deals I thought that looked pretty good and give you guys a heads up if you needed any of this stuff :D

I have a copy of the ad with me, so post back if you want me to check something specific for you....

Very cool. :D Thanks for the heads up

That 1TB drive looks really tempting, but I already have over 3TB of storage, so I'm not sure that I need it.

EDIT: Actually, that 200GB hitachi would be a nice addition to my PS3. ;)

I bought one of the external hdds....

I got the Hitachi drive apart, and its very easy.

It is indeed the Hitachi 7K1000 Sata drive for those who have doubts.:captnkill:

Below is a walk through on getting the hdd out of the external :)

yea. Nice to hear you enjoyed it.

I am still debating picking one of the 1TB drives for my new comp.... or buying 2 WD 7500AAKS (750gb) and putting them in Raid 0 for 1.5TB of storage...

I refuse to buy any Hitachi drive. I had a few IBMs from years ago that tanked out. The Deathstars left such a bad taste in my mouth, I won't buy another drive from them ever.

those external, you would either have to take it apart or get a different case for them. USB is just to damn slow.

I know......but good ones are not cheap and it adds alot to that good sale price, bringing it right back up to the "nomal" price range of 24" LCDs

Yup, I bought one! (check sig) They were $179.99 from $279.99! I couldn't pass it up! I sold my Sceptre 19" to my parents for $125, so the new WH only cost me about $70 (after tax)! Woohoo! :captnkill: So far I love it! Just wish NHL07 had widescreen support, but oh well. HD videos looks awesome, as well as DVDs. One thing though, it has it's own scaling evidently, because my LCD aspect ratio scaling option in the NVIDIA control panel is now gone, yet it keeps the aspect ratio in games. Weird, huh?

EDIT: Okay, I just figured out that the checkbox was ticked that treats my monitor like an HDTV, so I guess it's using that scaling. Seems to work okay, plus, even if I uncheck it (I get the LCD Aspect Ratio option back then), it won't let me check the box to use NVIDIA's scaling aspect ratio. When I hit apply, it goes back to the setting for my monitor's built-in scaling. Oh well, I put it back on the HDTV option.

Agreed, Digital is on or off so you dont see any issues until you get to lengths like 50' or more, but then its really a power loss issue.

www.monoprice.com for great deals on cables.
