What's the best PC game controller?
I'm going to be using for sports games, specifically Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007.

For Pro Evo the PS2 controller with a PS2 to USB converter is the best controller. The buttons are best positioned and if you play with the d-pad instead of the thumbstick (like most hardcore Pro Evo players would), it is far superior.

Overall, I am starting to prefer the XBOX 360 controller. I prefer the concave rather than convex shape of the thumbsticks, the triggers and better shaped 'face' (?) buttons i.e. A, B, X, Y or X, [], O, /\. On the flipside, I hate (and I mean hate) that the thumbsticks are not in symmetrical positions, and the top shoulder buttons (RB and LB) are positioned and shaped poorly.

I used to use a usb/Playstation converter but my Logitech Rumblepad 2 is Much nicer and more precise on the analogs than a dual shock.
If I didnt use m/kb all the time id get a wireless 360 controller.

This logitech 360 rip off prevents nerdy clam hands :) http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/pc_gaming/gamepads/devices/292&cl=us,en

Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless controller ftw, with all the Xbox 360 ports it's support is pretty much unrivaled. :)

I'd definately pick the 360 controllers over Logitech. Nothing wrong with Logitech except their crappy software, mind you...you don't need to load software with the MS controller.
