All right you peacenicks ;) :p it's time to put your money where you mouth is. You say you are soooo concerned about the people of Iraq then I call you out on it. I am giving $40 to World Concern and $40 to World Vision. I would love for you guys to give what you can to either one or both of the organizations. If you don't want to give to a Christian or any religious organization that's ok. The point is that you do give to these people who need it.

Feel free to put these two organizations under a micro scope. I did and I expect you do the same. Make sure you know what they are about but please give. I would love to see my fellow trolls help others who don't even know what a puter is.

Peace bro's :afro:

nice of you to decide now to do things... a bit late in the day don't you think ? :)

I have been donating for the past 3-4 years to various charities linked to the UN... not much mind... but I contribute what I can :)

my donations per year = 50 bucks... again not much... but I don't exactly make a killing going to university... :)

why give to un organisations ? coz they are global... :)

and I don't like landmines...

Sigh do you know anything about modern landmines? Probably not.

I didn't really think this thread could be political but you found a way. :( I don't discuss my charities. I just put up what I was giving this time to get the ball rolling. I just wanted to get people who might not have thought about giving and didn't know where a couple of places to give. I still am really concerned about your attitude on this. You may not like me but this thread has nothing to do with our personal feelings abou each other. You can give to what ever charity you want. The idea was to get people to think about those who need help.

Besides, it is never to late to give. :)

BTW This is twice now I have tried to do something nice and I get jabbed for it.

tell me something positive about landmines... they are designed to kill/maim and should be outlawed...

and the money that is allocated is to remove anti-personal land-mines from areas where civilians live... cambodia anyone...

please try to keep your comments relevant...

I dont like the whole peacenick reference... :)

I don't go round referring to yourself and others as warmongers... I don't think that's appropriate...

and not political either :)

I don't want this thread to become political either

/me waves truce flag and chucks some ferrer rocher chocs in udawg's direction...

Landmines are as bad as cluster bombs you know the bits that dont blow up and sit around waiting to kill someone later. Landmines do not have a mind of their own, they cannot tell the difference between a troop and a civilian. They just kill whoever stood on it, I agree they should be outlawed as they are a danger to civilians.

All right you peacenicks it's time to put your money where you mouth is

Already sending money to the Red Cross for the people of Iraq:p

I barely trust the Red Cross with my blood, no way I am letting them have dominion over my money which is supposed to go towards charity instead of their coffers;)

New landmines made you know this decade (as in NOT ones made in WW2) have batteries that last only a certain amount of time 1 month, a year whatever. Also they can all be remotely detonated. New landmines are a lot better than the old ones. Sure they can kill civvies but so can a laser guided bomb, M16 or a RPG. Come on guys use your heads

HA!! Sorry, Ed...but HAHA!!! :jumping:

Why am I laughing?

Tim Kitzrow: "Sosa steps up. Moyer delievers... *whosh* AHA! Fooled him with the sinker!"
Jim Shortz: "He swung at that like he was chopping weeds..."

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Every time I play MLB SlugFest 2004 with my Mariners, my boy Moyer drives Sosa nuts almost every time he walks up to the plate with an arsenal of sliders and sinkers. :D

As a bonus, Kevin "Jim Shortz" Matthews" rips into him, too.
