To be clear. Any feedback on these? I haven't even had time to check them out yet.

FSX running great for me with these.

Cal of Juarez dx10 and Dirt still run about the same as 163.11. I'll keep these for now. I still get the Nvlddmkm Stopped responding problem. I'm not getting this in games I'm running, just some apps like Avast when I click to stop program I get the error or just surfing start menu sometimes. I just leave my nvidia control panel open so I can click enable and disable SLI when I get the Nvlddmkm Stopped responding error so I don't have to reboot. Just a few clicks between black screens will do the trick.

ok, back to 163.11 for me, just took to long to open images.

I would just like to report (and this may have been a problem for a while now) Red Faction no longer starts. It says something about the video card needing more than 8MB of video memory and then quits. I know this was working with drivers released a few months back on Vista. I needs to play me older games!

ok, back to 163.11 for me, just took to long to open images.Just checking with you...does this occur when opening photos in any program or just the built in Vista picture gallery?

with build in vista photo gallery, also opening video clips in WMP11 is slower too.

What did you test? The desktop? lol

Give us a rundown of what "no problems" consists of. Do you mean they installed ok? Have you tried any games, what games? Performance increase or decrease?

rant

I love all the posts when a new driver drops, "all games run slightly better and IQ is slightly better"... wth does slightly better mean?

/end rant

I have tested FEAR, Far Cry, GRAW2, RS vegas, LP dx10, COJ DX10, Infernal, Prey, Quake 4. All games work fine, slight gains (a few frames in most of said games). IQ has usual never changes. Still no 1280x1024 in NHL 07 in Vista.

I installed these and have no issues to report as well, they are keepers for me too. Do I need to somehow prove my opinion to you? Nope. Does XxDeadlyxX have to? nope again.

Good lord, take it for what it's worth, they work well for some people.

Here's my "rundown":

No problems. Desktop works great and the games that I play work well too.

Well wiseguy - like I did, list the games tested. Is that so friggin' hard?

Don't prove anything to me, don't bother posting if that is too much to ask, sheesh.

My IQ is 3 times what it was. I will pass Forrest Gump soon in terms of being able to spell.

Wise guy? maybe, but try and remember that things like IQ and smoothness of gameplay is purely subjective. It's all based on individual user experience. My own experience with this particular driver set is very positive, whereas others is not.

See, it's subjective. Ranting for "proof" is a very foolish reason to post, if you ask me. Posting that one's use of the particular driver set is a positive one, regardless if people like you do not get the absolute cold-hard facts to back it up, is useful.

Well you could just list the games that were tested with the driver to let other people know exactly what something like this indicates..."installed, they worked, keepers". I'm not asking for proof, if you are gonna take the time to post feedback just make it worthy of the read.

And your rant was "worthy of a read"? Wow, you must really think alot of yourself if you think that. Practice what you preach.

Anyway, I tested BF2142 mostly, with a side of Infernal. Both tested great (to those who need clarification on my what my definition of "great" is, no lockups, crashes, chopiness, lag, etc). Since installing the two (previously beta) MS performance patches and the third beta (mentioned in the same thread as the other two), I can now play Titan maps until my fingers cramp and my eyes bleed, all without a single crash or memory error.

Well I did post the games I tested in the same thread I complained about the "works great" posts. Someone has to say something and regardless of who it was, you'd all bitch about it. While the rant may not have been worthy, the rest of my post that named the many games I tested was worthy.

Anyways, I'd expect more of what the second half of your post was. I tested infernal too, runs great with these! Infernal is one of those games, while not technically advanced, it's alot of fun to play and runs great with the eyecandy maxed.

More internet fights need to be like that... way to keep your cool guys and go from "ur dum lololo" to "Ok, I disagree but I do like your 2nd point...etc etc etc."

I'm still downloading the driver. I'm on 163.11 right now...

Yeah well my mom says I'm cool and thats good enough for me.

Installed these, no issues. Games work and I haven't done any performance testing so I'll do that on the weekend.
