I have a question, My bios are reading my memory at this speed
5-5-5-18 Which it should or could run at 4-4-4-12. What are the steps in getting my memory to run at 4-4-4-12?

thanks

Set it to 4-4-4-12 in BIOS.

Depends on your board, since menus are laid out differently. What do you have? Easiest option is a simple read through your manual's BIOS settings section.

Does it change the volts when you change the settings? As im not sure how to change the volts

my mobo is the 975X chipset,

what ive found is that timing doesn't help a lot.. its the Mhz that counts.

Looks like you can access it in Advanced > Chipset Configuration.

Changing the timings should not change your voltage, unless of course that is set to automatic. Even then I doubt it.
