Is Chalnoth a genius?

He knows everything about everything.

Even about religion. After reading a lot of his posts I have come to these conclusions:

a. He is hundreds of years old and has gathered so many Ph.Ds that it makes a mathematicians look like they can't count.

b. Is so intelligent that he makes Einstein look like a vegetable.

PS: I have never met anyone who knows as much as Chalnoth.

Yes, they are intelligent as well. Chalnoth on the otherhand has proven to know, well everything.

There is not 1 issue I have ever read that Chalnoth didn't have an educated opinion about.

There is not 1 fact that Chalnoth doesn't know in any topics anyone has thrown at him.

If he didn't know something at the time he comes back telling us about what he has found out. (see the blackhole thread I made recently)

The guy is like a souped up version of Einstein.

He isn't biased, I have spoken to him and read his posts and he never was biased. You just have to place yourself in his shoes and then take a look at things from another angle to see what he is talking about. Doing so will show you how unbiased he is. Okay, he may have a very small bias like everyone else in the wrld does but other than that he isn't biased in the sense that he thinks that nVidia are the best, full stop.

I don't think you are all idiots in the sense of singling you guys out. Every human being is an idiot and that has even been proven time and time again by everyone, including Einstein.

It's just that Chalnoth has yet to make himself look like an idiot at all. In not 1 case have I ever seen him lower himself to anyone elses level. His arguments are based on facts and have solid ground.

IE: The derivatives thing he was going on about for true texture mapping or something. He was not talking out of bias, he just presented a fact. I have seen people bash him without any grounds for basis.

I can't comment on Chalnoth's "off the internet" life though. :)

Anyway, when people do bash him they never seem to bother asking Chanoth why he has come to that conclusion that he has. I have seen very few people at all do that in general. Maybe 1 or 2 every time there is a full moon.

there are certain ati v/s nvidia comments that chalnoth does make that make me scratch my head in bewilderment... :)

he obviously does read up on various technologies.. I know I do if I am not sure of something as well... but the spin he puts on CERTAIN things definitely are a bit weird... I have been reading posts from both chalnoth and hellbinder for many a month now... and though chalnoth is more level-headed (ie unlikely to get into a lengthy tirade bashing people) they are both viewed differently HERE and on other forums... ie... rage3d... chalnoth not regarded as highly as here...

personally... having various discussions with him... it is interesting... I don't have to agree with everything but when one does not close one's mind to various ideas.. it makes them that much more endearing..

I try and learn from what I read.. and I give credit to chalnoth for not sticking to one point regardless of overwhelming evidence to the contrary... on most topics :)

Yes, Chalnoth is perfect in conveying the message across to someone. As the Vulcan's say, Chalnoth is very efficient [at communicating]. :D

I seen threads at R3D bashing, Volt and Chalnoth, they are childish threads. Threads I would usually make while masturbating over something.

Anyway, I don't think Chalnoth gives a damn about people bashing him. He doesn't respond to them.

Makes me wonder how old Chalnoth is, something tells me he is in his 20's but he's got the maturity of an 80 year old. :D
