Hi
I'm running debian Woody with
XFree86 Version 4.2.1 (Debian 4.2.1-3 20021019202935 blochedu@linda.rhrk.uni-kl.de) / X Window System
in an AMD-400, GeForce2 Mx 400 and a motherboard ASUS P5A. In windows games go perfectly, but in linux, with lastest drivers (and the ones before) the games which use GL blink (for example, glxgears 'stops' some frames) and die in a few seconds
Any ideas?
thanks

What's the output of 'glxinfo'? What AGP setting are you using?
From the README:
o When using a P5A upgrade to BIOS Revision 1002 BETA 2.
Have you done this?

I have bios 1010 beta, so it's supposed to work
I haven't changed the AGP setting, so it might be the deafult, agpart I think. I tried to change it to nvidia's one, but it works worse.
The GL output tells just "killed" then the program stops
thanks for the help

Hi everybody,
I'm having a similar (or same) problem with RH9 on AMDk6-2 450 ASUS P5A Bios ver. 1011 beta Geforce4 mx440se.
When running any opengl program the program starts just fine, runs ok for a while approx. 10 - 20 seconds then aborts. No error reports or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I solved that problem, at last!
Get and install a program called "yanc"
yanc.sourceforge.net
and change module options. Check "ali agp" and "force 2x agp speed", i think.
then /etc/modules.conf will get updated. Beware that any time that /etc/modules.conf gets changed, yanc's line might get erased, but the solution is to check again these options
greetings
