i cant seem to be able to resize the desktop like i used to with my old 7950gx2... im using the 162.18 drivers and the tv is a sanyo 30" crt hdtv with a native res of 1920x1080 interlaced... i went to manage custom resolutions and set it to 'treat as hdtv'.... but whenever i go to resize hdtv desktop and i pick the resize option... no matter what size i set it to it still remains at 1920x1080 (i need 1840x1036)

w00t it worked :D... i just went in and tried again and it worked... perhaps the order in which i did it was the reason?...
EDIT: now it doesnt work anymore it reset... and now im having trouble doing it again... man this is soooo annoying

Do you run dual screen by any chance? I noticed some problems with desktop size and resolutions when I ran dual screen but if I just use the HDTV it works flawlessy, both the setting in the driver that you can use to get rid of overscan/underscan but I donīt even need that since my HDTV has a 1:1 pixelmapping feature.

no i just run single display... i ran the nvidia fix for the overscan and i think that improved things a bit... ill keep fooling around with it

ok it works... the nvidia fix (HERE (http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2064&p_created=1177972007&p_sid=_4puzVIi&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX 3Jvd19jbnQ9MTQmcF9wcm9kcz0wJnBfY2F0cz0wJnBfcHY9JnB fY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vycy5zZWFyY2hfbmwmc F9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD04ODAw&p_li=&p_topview=1)) is the solution.... the article is misleading because the option is already there in the 162.18 drivers but its not functional... the only other thing is i have to set it to clone display and then to single display otherwise if i set it to the hdtv right away i get no display for some reason...
