Does anyone use mplayer?

It locks up.
It used to work with my Matrox G200 but I upgraded to a GeForce2 MX400.

I get this error when I tried to play a DVD.
"The selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec.
VDecoder init failed :(".
I tried both the "xv" and "x11" output devices but both locked up and gave me that error.

try to recompile the thing
I have troubles too .Downgraded from a tnt2
to a s3 (my eyes hurts:() And i have an Illegal
Instruction when want to play .
So we have to recompile the thing ...
Update:
Now it works after a recompile :)
