Is there any risk when running an 8800GTS at 100% fan speed other than the increased noise?

I had one come flying out through the case at me once. It was like a ninja throwing star. It came so close, it shaved a small amount of hair off the side of my head. If I was another inch to the left, I wouldn't be able to tell this now.

I usally run both of my 8800GTS at %100 since they are not that loud and it keeps them cooler.

I run it at 60% when idle and force it to 100% in a game. This keeps it cool in games and does not add unneeded wear to the bearings when in idle time :)
