View Full Version : X-server locks when trying to shut it down
I'm having some problems with the 4*** drivers and my GeForce4 4800SE, whenever the X-server shuts down (or gets killed) it locks, the TV connected to my tv-out starts flickering and my CRT goes black, when using the 4191-drivers this doesn't stop until i ctrl-alt-del my system, when using 4349 it stops responding at all wich leaves me with no way to cleanly shut down my system once X has been started (except ssh perhaps).
I got the same problem.
When leaving/killing XFree 4.3.0 with 43xx drivers from nvidia my console locks/get scrambled.
I'm running a7n8x and gf4 ti4800SE.
I guess nvidia has ****ed the drivers to this graphic card up.

btw, this is exactly the same thing as I reported...
Might be interesting to see if there are other identical system components. I'm running abit it7max2v2 with p4/2.4 and abit siluro 4200
btw, I also have TV-out plugged in my tv, maybe the problem's related to that ?
