Hi there!

I've been trying to use the last two driver versions with only a blank screen with a white pixel at (0,0) showing :( Tried to edit XFConfig manually, and even via SaX2, used the switch2nvidia script, changed resolutions from 640x480 to 1152x864, browsed through the forum and nothing yet. Right now I just installed from RPM's 'cause tarballs for 4191 didn't work for me and the result is the same, the colorful blank screen and a pretty white pixel . Oh! And of course, who can't forget the pretty weird lines at the bottom of the screen??? :D Any ideas? I'm very frustrated right now. Posting my XFConfig and XFree log file.

System:

AMD Athlon 1800+
GeForce 2 MX/MX400 64MB AGP
Gygabyte 7DXE MB
256 MB DDR 333 RAM
Samsung SyncMaster 551v monitor
SuSE 8.1 Professional fresh install with KDE 3
XFree 4.2.0

Can't find /proc/driver/nvidia while running X (maybe 'cause I'm not using the driver?)

Any other info required just ask.

Ok, the pretty pixel and the lines were the attempt to draw nvidia's logo at X startup. Used Option "NoLogo" "true" and now they're gone. Just a blank screen. Also, found out my BIOS version is 3.11.01.48.00 (if it's the string shown at system startup). I also stood looking at that wonderful screen for about 5 minutes (enough time to make cofee, but it was an awesome experience) and nothing happened, so I used windows standard control tool (ctrl+alt+del+ :banghead: ) and found out about the BIOS. Right now I'll try to flash the card (if possible) and try not to :banghead: again :D
