I can't enable the WMP11 toolbar in XP x64 for some reason, it works in XP x86 and Vista x64 for me. I did some searching, and couldn't find anything, so does anyone know how to fix this or experiencing the same issue?
You talking about when you minimize it, it goes down to the taskbar?

Yea, when you minimize for the first time it usually pops up with a little window saying "you can enable the wmp toolbar etc" and then you just right click on the taskbar, go to toolbars, and select windows media player. Then you get toolbar over in the right hand corner w/ controls.
In XP x64 I don't get that message, I can't enable it, and it just minimizes like any other window.

The toolbar doesnīt work on XP x64 version of WMP11.

Incorrect, simply right click on the taskbar and scroll to the Toolbars section, check Windows Media Player. Enjoy!

I thought I explained thats what I tried to do in my previous posts, the option simply isn't there. Do you have it working in x64? Im talking XP not Vista, works fine in Vista x64

In Windows Xp x64 edition as stated on other forums http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?showtopic=27977&hl=Media%20Player%2011&st=20 , this option isnīt available, I cannot put WMP 11 on taskbar because simply this option doesnīt exist, The only option you can enable is the music complement for windows live messenger

Regardless... it had repeatedly been stated that the option is not available in XP x64 by several members whom are using that OS to this day. Hence my previous statement. ;) As a result, I have no other choice but to fire you. Crainger's taking your job. I want you packed and out in 1 hour... :firedevil :wimp:

True , not available in Xp x64 (since it is my main OS)
However, they are hacks to do it like replacing the 64 bit explorer shell and forcing the OS to use the 32bit explorer instead...
http://extended64.com/blogs/bhpaddock/archive/2005/05/22/539.aspx
or this
http://extended64.com/forums/p/1018/1869.aspx#1869
- Run Task Manager (Taskmgr.exe)
- switch to tab Processes
- find explorer.exe
- press End Process
- menu File->New task (Run)
- enter %systemroot%\syswow64\explorer
And you are running 32-bit explorer
To revert back to 64-bit explorer do the same but run "explorer.exe" only.
PS: the second method is easy to use and it gives u back the WMP11 toolbar too :)

Thanks guys, no big deal though. I dont spend much time on XP64 anyway, just would have been nice for the few times I do boot into it.
