I "upgraded" a 6600 to a 8500.
I haven't noticed any features I lost.
The x6xx series should have more features than the x5xx series, right?

It is a faster card and that is what I wanted.

The 6600 is a 6 series and the 8500 is an 8 series. I don't really know which one's faster as the 6600 was a mid range six series card and the 8500 is an entry level 8 series card. My guess is that the 8500 is actually faster, but 8500s tends to come with 64 bit memory interfaces and such and could be slow.

The chart at http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce8.html says the memory interface is 128bit.
