No one says he does... but I think he did a great job with the first movie and wouldn't want to see another director **** it up. Remeber what happened to the original Batmans?

To be honest, as with most sequels, they will probably go with a cheaper director anyway. This isn't the sort of movie like "Lord of the Rings" or "Bourne" where people would continue to flock to theaters to see the story continue to unfold.

And even Bourne had different directors for Identity and Supremacy/Ultimatum.

And I think Transformers made enough to warrent Bays return for a sequal.

I'll buy into a high def optical player when they go both ways like the DVD-R DVD+R fiasco.

Worse news to come from this is that Micheal Bay stated he wont make a Transformers 2 since Paramount dropped support for Blu-Ray. :(

I think I'll just get the pioneer Blu Ray drive and get Shrek 3 and Transformers on standard DVD. Format war is bad news for noobs like me.

If you really want the lesser of the two, at least wait for a player that will work with BD+. It still isn't "ready". I would not recommend the Pioneer.

Who knows what revision it's on now. BD is a huge mess. It still isn't ready for release. The only reason it's here is because of pressure from the HD DVD launch ( of fully functional players for a fully functional format ) and the PS3 turd that launched last year.
