Looks like the release notes aren't up yet though :(

I'd like to know if these fix the texture evict issue, my guess would be they don't.

These drivers fix SLi
Was BSOD with the earlier ones

Get between 100 >75 fps in first section to the pod,
Finally hardware is paying off :captnkill:

I dunno what these drivers did (or rather what I did wrong before) but my 3dmark06 score raised from about 9500 to 9725 with these drivers vs the last whql nv drivers O.o All games seem to run fine and bioshock runs a little nicer. Keepers! :)

(PS. 8800GTS 320, e6600..)

Do these drivers allow AA to be forced in the Bioshock demo? I'm running 162.50 and even with AA forced in nhancer, it doesn't seem to be applied. Perfectly smooth though at 1920x1200 with an 8800GTX / Opteron 170

Going back to a previous version(s)

Yup, I can confirm GRAW and GRAW2 work perfectly with these new drivers.(nana2)

I might give these a shot but Bioshock works just fine with current drivers. I still can't get the CPL on latest drivers so im debatring whether to go with them or not.

If it works don't fix it right? Well its working right now.

whats weird is, alt+tab bug does not seem to affect Bioshock or other unreal engine 3 games for me... Bioshock runs great for hours, its amazingly optimized, love it.

it depends on how the game use the vram of your vga, thats why older titles have this problem and new ones don't, or at least some.

btw, where are the release notes for this set, I can't find them.

pd. here is the international version of the driver set for anyone searching for it: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/163.44/163.44_forceware_winxp_32bit_international_beta.ex e (67.3 mb)

Just a little status check on some known problems for the curious:

Jedi Academy; enabling dynamic glow drops framerate to sub-15fps levels: Still a problem. Some people say this is related to the texture evict issue - I'm not so sure because ATI cards have had the same problem. I suspect it's just that the game's method of doing glow is only compatible with older nVidia architecture and just won't work on 8000-series/non-nVidia architecture.

Republic Commando; crashes when you try to start a game: Still a problem. :(

the nvidia fixed aspect ratio bug is still not fixed! i'm forced to use 96.89 for proper widescreen scaling. this is ridiculous.

The evict bug should only apply to games that use Managed DirectX. Managed DirectX is where you rely on DirectX/the driver to manage texture resources (as opposed to managing VRAM allocation from the actual program). The Unreal 3 Engine, because of it's cross-platform nature, has it's own resource management separate from that of DirectX.

Takes ages for me to get the Control Panel to show up...anyone else have any issues like that?
