OK, as far as I read here I am not the only one to encounter the following problem:
My TFT (Syncmaster 191T) goes black as soon as I have the new Nvidia driver installed and starting X (KDE) having it connected via DVI. CRT (Sony Trinitron) and analog connection to my TFT are working fine, so the setup and config should be OK. Also driving the TFT with DVI connector using the VESA driver is working.
Are there any workarounds for this problem or do I have to wait for a new driver revision ?
Any help would be highly apprechiated, thanks.

My sys:
RH9, Nvidia 43.49, GF4-4400, Tyan Tiger MP, 2xMP1800+, 1024MB RAM and lots of other stuff

Yes, it's a known issue. nVidia is working on it.

Perhaps not what you wanted to hear, but there is no fix ATM. :(

Right - the workaround is to use an analog connection to your DFP. We're working on it as fast as we can.

Thanks!

I had this problem on one of my boxes, and adding the option:

Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "CRT, TV"

to my XF86Config file got it working fine (as per the documentation). This was RH9, uni-processor box.

On my other box any attempt to use DVI resulted in a hard-lock (this was RH7.1 dual-processor box), I had to resort to analogue.

So if your screen blacks out but the machine is still running (ie. you can still CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE out of X) try the above. If your machine locks you'll have to join the queue of those of us waiting for a fix!
