I didnt like the first one .. hope this one turns out better.
Apart from working on the ArmA expansion Queen's Gambit, Bohemia is currently also looking further ahead and already developing a full blown sequel.
Arma 2 is based on the latest generation technology, offering large –scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and enviroments, challenging single player and vast array of multiplayer options.

ArmA 2 is expected to be released in 2008.

Until they can streamline the needlessly cumbersome interface I'll be taking a pass at this one. The first Armed Assault looked great as well, but I just couldn't get to grips with the 1 million different keyboard commands!

The ArmA titles are GPU hogs for sure. I hope they put more work on getting it to work better on current harware. I do like the fact they are highly detailed though, I just think it should run faster than it does.

Yeah it was pretty sad that in the ArmA demo on my previous system (X2@2.5Ghz) the framerates were under 30 no matter what settings I used.

That was\is the worst running game I've ever seen on PC.

I wish someone would get a clue and make a "simulation" that doesn't run like sh** for no good reason. It seems to be a requirement. Realistic gameplay = 15fps average. :headexplode:

I could even deal with having to have all the detail turned down if the player movement and interface wasn't so sluggish too.
