Very impressive demo IMO. It's great to see EA bring something fresh to a genre that has been dominated by Tony Hawk. Mind you I love Tony Hawk games, but competition in the marketplace is always nice.

The controls are completely different too. You use this "flickit" system with the analog stick to ollie and nollie and do tricks. It turns out that it works out very well. If there is one word to describe the new control sceme I would have to say the word...smooth.:D Also there is greater realism to this skateboarding game than I have seen in even the most recent of Tony Hawks. The character models look fantastic.

If you haven't already I highly recommend checking out this sweet demo that has just come to Xbox Live. The controls are something to get used to, but there is a big payoff once you get used to it.:D

Tried out the demo it came it came out, and I also think this is an awesome way to do a skateboarding game :D Not having specific buttons for ollie, grind, flip, and grab make it seem so much more realistic... and fun to play

I know I'm definitely going to be buying this when it comes out. Should be fun playing their skate multiplayer too

I played the demo over at a buddies since I'm on vacation. But WOW! I played the demo literally for a few hours alone. Mind you, I used to skateboard a lot hear a few years ago and plan on starting up again pretty soon since he's been building a mini ramp but I just love how realistic it feels. I got sick of the tony hawk games after the 3rd or 4th and then played a little of project 8 but it all just felt the same. The preview videos for this game always looked pretty crappy I thought but after I played the demo I gotta say, damn good job EA.

I don't like skateboarding, and I've never played a skateboarding game, but I liked this demo a lot.

I don't know if I'd buy another skating game. I bought TH:P8 for the 360 after playing the demo for a few hours and in the end I only played the full release for an hour or two and shelved it. But it really wasn't P8's fault I think it was just bad timing, I know another game came out like a week later and I played that since I liked it more. Think it was Gears of War lol.

I'm picking this up next week. This demo still amazes me. It just gets better everytime. Anyway here is a new preview with IGN showing the huge 4 areas of the game. Check out the videos! Really good stuff.:D

I never really expect to enjoy so much with this demo. Amazing control, pretty graphics, and it's very fun. I love the presentation, it's very very well done. This will give Tony Hawk something to think about on their next game... lol.

Maybe im doing something wrong but I could never pick up enough speed to go up a ramp, other than that its pretty good.

Awesome, only thing I don't liek about this game is the crashes, ragdolls are cool but it should have some sort of animation too, it just looks weird when you crash.

I agree. That is the only improvemnet I can think of. The crashes at times can be sorta (crazy). Anyway the trick is...just don't crash and then no problem.:D

Anyway Amazon is overnighting my copy tomorrow!:D I can't wait. (nana2)

Last week's 1up show has a nice hands-on with the game. They seem to think the learning curve is pretty steep but very rewarding once you get the moves/timing down.
