Blue Dragon for the XBOX-360 comes out this week! Anyone else excited about as am I? I actually just picked up the XBOX 360 last week just for this game. I did pick up Gears Of War and what a great game it is. Anyway Blue Dragon looks to be the 1st next gen rpg that looks very promising so Iam excited.

belive me if you will...the game had some good ideas that got lost in implementation. The game's already out in Europe and other than a few diehard fans, the verdict is the game missed the bus!
Iam trying to download the Demo but I keep getting the do you want to download the demo again message? I went to my demos and when I click play it stated that I need to re insert the cd ( re insert? this is a dl not a cd)or reset the system which I have done already. So I deleted the whole DL and restarting again. What a pain of an error to tell me when I click play that my game cannot load.

I played the demo, and while it certainly isn't a bad RPG by any stretch of the imagination, it just wasn't what it was hyped up to be (for me anyways).
Even so, I may end up picking it up if I have some extra cash on hand.
The demo was pretty good, I thought it plays quite nicely. I plan on picking it up once my backlog of other games clears up a little.

I didn't like the demo at all... very archaic combat system that moves too slow, and while the graphics are nice the characters and acting are pretty lame. I get a sense the story sucks as well.
Eternal Sonata is MUCH better.

Yeah Eternal Sonata is a nice game from what I have seen in the demo. Problem I have with it is that it felt too much like the Tales series.

Well Blue Dragon is almost a carbon copy of Dragon Warrior, so... neither one is very original.

I'm sorry was someone saying something or just complaining? :D Sorry just seems like people are bashing this game to no end when I thought it was quite enjoyable, better and more fun than some of the RPG's I've played recently. Any way, you're all allowed to an opinion but I will be buying this one.
To the OP, yes I've been waiting a while for this one. Can't wait but I need to beat Bioshock first, to many damn games coming out. :D

Well, the people who seem to bash Blue Dragon the most tend to be the more "hardcore" RPGers. As far as RPGs go, it doesn't bring anything new to the table, so all it has to rest on are the characters and story (which are the two parts I care about most anyways). I can't say alot about the story...but the characters just turn me off.
But to the OP, its definitely one to check out to see if you like it, especially if you were excited about it to begin with. For example, I was really excited about Armored Core 4, but when I asked around the general opinion was that it was a terrible game...but I went ahead and purchased it, I loved/played the **** out of it.
The real key is finding people who have similar tastes in games as you, and then just keeping their opinions in mind whenever you're trying to see if a game is worth purchasing

Me either. :( I must be the only gamer on earth who doesn't like the FF series.
I keep trying to dl the demo and it gets stuck at 25% I have tried to delete than dl again but only to get to the 25% and it stops. Anyone else have this problem? I can dl all other demos just fine, I DL Stranglehold just fine. Hmmm
Been looking forward to this game and tried to avoid downloading the demo. Every RPG demo that I've played, sucked pretty hard. Mainly because you have no clue what the hell is going on and not a very good idea of how the battle system works. They're meant to introduce you to it slowly.
I've not been hearing very good things about this though... I'm not sure if I should buy it or not. I'm still a hardcore RPGer after all. :(
Well I picked up the game today during my lunch break along with Warhawk. I will probably not play it until this weekend. Iam a big fan of the Dragon Quest games so I think I will be enjoying Blue Dragon even the medicore reviews.
