Nice review, I've had an NF-S12 for awhile now. Its so silent, I recommend it to everyone.

Does anyone have these and the SlienX fans? I'd be interested to see how they compare to each other.

I have two NF-S12-1200 fans as my intake and exhaust fans, and they're amazing. Almost completely inaudible. The only fan that make a little noise in my case is the one from the CNPS-9700 (which is, imho, horrible, considering that it should be a silent cooler), but I'm gonna exchange it for a Thermalright Ultra-120 with one or maybe two NF-S12.

Iīve got the 120mm fan and itīs exelent when it comes to noice, but there is one strange things about the airflow that getīs "ejected". Try to hold a piece of toilet paper on the side where the air blows out, the toiletpaper will not fly away, it will be sucked in to the middle of the fan, and yes i have placed the fan in the correct direction. This doesīnt happen with my zalman 120mm or any 120mm fans that iīve got. Well itīs probably nothing...:p

I'm considering grabbing some of these myself for my pc and teh wife's. Our computer room is loud and makes music recording impossible.

Update: I installed a pair of the 120mm fans in my lian li this weekend and the OCZ ram cooler and was able to drop the zalman CPU fan rpm's in HALF and still maintain the same temps during prime 95 and overall, the decibel level was reduced dramatically.

The only fan producing audible sound is the little tiny northbridge fan's whine.

HUGE thumbs up on these. They were expensive but worth every penny.
