Just wanted to share -

I installed: nforce_winvista64_15.08_english.exe

Everything looks fine - there's a new "network" manager installed interface (within the nVidia control panel) that allows network "teaming" and other features.

I did not activate those features but it seems to BREAK halo 2 (vista64). The game just won't start and you have appcrash. Nothing will get it to work (not a reinstall, deletion of profiles, etc.) However, uninstalling the NETWORK ACCESS MANAGER (from the new 15.08 installation set) fixed it. Halo 2 now works.

Just letting you folks who have the game and who run into this exact problem know!

specs:
vista64 x4GB ram
Xi-Fi
nVidia video drivers: 163.44

I installed these last night and it was a huge PITA but I finally got it installed. It took no less that 5 tries but in the end, I have teaming setup and it may just be my imagination, but browsing actually seems faster. As for gaming, I cannot see any difference there.

Some of the problems I had were:

Took about 3 tries to get both nics to work. One would always have a Code 31. I finally disabled one nic, uninstalled vid and nforce drivers, again, reinstalled nforce and vid, then re-enabled second nic in bios. At this point, you have to run NAM setup again to get the teaming option. Set a perm IP on the nVidia virtual adapter and good to go.

By the way, at one point during all this, I got the Stopped Responding errors so bad that I couldn't even open my browser. I thought that was really interesting since I've never gotten that with 163.44's, but removing nforce, vid drivers, then reinstalling got rid of it.

I'd like to hear others' opinion on teaming and whether it seems faster to you too. Sure does to me! Btw, I'm only on a 6M DSL line, so I'm not really sure why it seems faster.

I don't play Halo, so I can't comment on that, but I had no difficulties installing this. I didn't install the Media whatever driver, not sure what that is? I installed the chipset and network drivers, though, without a hitch.

It's the MediaShield drivers for RAID usage. If you don't use RAID, you don't need them. http://www.nvidia.com/object/feature_raid.html

Oh, I had better install them then ;) I was thinking of a different definition of the word 'media' ;)

These mobo drivers for vista 32 bit broke printer spooler for me. I had to revert back to a previous restore point to get printing back.
