After installing the nVidia Linux drivers (v100.14.11) on two x86 SMP architectures with dual Quadro FX 1400 and RHEL4 U5 installed, I have the following problem:
-- one machine boots fine but mouse (and keyboard, I think) are non-functional. Mouse sits in center of screen.
-- other machine hangs on bootup once graphical mode starts, such as "Setting up system clock" or even before when "waiting" mouse icon appears.
In both cases no errors are logged in /var/log/Xorg.0.log. There is one warning relating to no APM. I have also tried RHEL4 (no update) with the same results. FC3, which RHEL4 is based off, works fine. Switching back to "nv" driver fixes the problem. SELinux is disabled (I've heard that can cause problems). I'm planning on manually installing and\or checking for ld conflicts\errors as suggested in Chapter 5. Installed Components of the README, but haven't had the chance yet. Any suggestions?
