I just installed the new version of nVidia drivers and X won't start. It displays the nVidia logo and then dies.
I grabbed the sample config file that comes with the drivers and then updated the monitor syncs and font paths.
X was working with this card before I rebooted and updated the drivers.

Here is the config from the machine.

In the example config file it might be better to have the most common config with the the other ones commented out, instead of all configs being uncommented. It's easy to tell too, if entire sections are commented out.
I actually didn't realize initially that I needed to comment all those sections out. :)
[end of suggestion]
I fixed that and updated the version of the log and config. The problem persists. I think the real problem is with AGP initialization. A google search on the string had only one thread in english and it mentioned NvAGP. Adding NvAGP 0 option gets rid of the AGP error, but still no change.
