Doing a fresh format AGAIN!!! but wondering what version of the .NET software to install? 3.0 or 2.0? The 8800 series Nvidia drivers do need this software correct? Thank you

...and I think Windows Update installs all 3 versions anyway.

For some reason I was always under the impression that in order for the control panel to work correctly, we needed the .NET package installed. Glad to see I was wrong, I hate installing programs I dont need. Thanks everyone.

I think you are getting confused with ATI CCC.

Dragunov is correct, you can have multiple versions of .NET installed the only important thing is that you have the right version for the app you wish to run. Many packages will either tell you which framework to install or will provide it for you.

Isn't 3.0 supposed to include the others ?

.NET 3.5 is also out in a Pre-release version, we're using this for our Driver compession to make the post for each nVidia driver we post.
