PS3 Crashing Issue [Archive]

Have fun with the web browser on the PS3. I've had it hard lock my system three times already. Mainly on sites that have Flash/Java/etc, but still... a damn hard lock?

Just a warning and complaint.

I have heard that the new firmware is causing some lockups. I never experianced any lockups but I haven't put much time into my PS3 since the update.

This WAS with the new firmware, so that's a possibility.

And where are you at on Tekken 5? Actually, where is ANYONE at on Tekken 5. I haven't been able to successfully start a fight with anyone online. :rolleyes:

Didn't know you had the game... I will try to get on more often, lately I have been working alot.

The new firmware is causing alot of issues from reports. Alot of people are stating that they can't log onto Warhawk (which might be related to your Tekken issue).

I've heard about problems after updating to the new firmware version... I'm not updating until the situation is more clear, don't want to mess with that right now.

The only reason I even updated was because Tekken told me I had to to play online.... Ha...

Yeah saddly most PSN required applications require the update so without the update you couldn't do anything online...

I'm sure Sony will release new firmware very soon. I updated mine but haven't plsyed PS3 since then... until Warhawk and LAIR arrives.

I'm using the new firmware and haven't encountered any problems on most of the sites I visit, but there have definitely been reports of hard-locks with the new firmware. I've only had my PS3 hardlock 4 times, 3 of those were during the Warhawk beta, the the 4th was when I tried to create my own server with the retail version of Warhawk. On an slightly unrelated note, since the last firmware was released my copy of Motorstorm won't play at all....anyone with a copy of Motorstorm tried to play it since then?

Yeah I have the latest and motorstorm works:)

yeap heard there was a crashing issue with the new firmware..
I have only experianced it in Warhawk but I never use the web browser on the ps3.

With a keyboard/mouse it works pretty well. I use it since the PSU in my PC crapped out on me. It's sad, but I really have a pretty good computer that is just gathering dust now...I might fix it once Starcraft 2 launches.
