With all the drama that's already in the polls, I thought it would be good to get people's opinion of who should be ranked where. I'll start.

1. LSU
2. Oklahoma
3. Florida
4. USC
5. Georgia Tech
6. California
7. Oregon
8. West Virginia
9. Wisconsin
10. Rutgers

I've based this on what I've seen as much as possible and tried not to let the influence of what the "experts" think guide me.

So what you got?

I can live with your list.

The thing that I hate though, is that the damn National Championship is at the Sugar Bowl this year and LSU will most likely end-up there. However, if a team is good enough, then it shouldn't matter and it won't, because OU will have their 8th National Championship when it's all over. ;)

Edit: I just noticed you didn't even have Texas in the Top 10. Good! They look like **** this year! ;) Hang 'Em Horns!! /||\

Unfortunately, I think Wisconsin is a bit over rated :(

They just haven't looked like a top 10 team yet.... better than Michigan though :D

I guess you missed the second half of the TCU game. Looks like someone found their stride. The Cotton Bowl will be rocking. I feel better about the season now that we were able to put up points on the best defense we'll see all year. ;)

Hopefully you'll find this amusing, but I saw the best rivalry t-shirt the other day when tailgating. "You can't spell C_CK S_CKER with out OU." Funny stuff.

Yeah, I've seen that shirt before. The Red River Rivalry is a fun one for sure. You think TCU's defense is the best you'll see all year? Now, c'mon, man! We're goin' to own ya'll this year! I have no doubt.

Who's Murry State? Why did they allow Middle Tenn. to score 42 points on them at home. Maybe MT is that good, I'll get a better gauge of them when they come to Tiger Stadium this Saturday. But with a showing like that, I can't see them being in the top 10.

Anyway, this isn't a "I'm right and your all wrong" thread. I'm interested to see how others here have teams ranked. This is something we can come back to at the end of the year and say "see I told you so" or "what was I smoking?".

:rofl

Wisconsin has t-shirts that say "Ann Arbor is a w***e"

I personally don't like Texas much but that National championship game a couple years back was one of the best football games I've ever seen at any level.

I'm picking LSU and Oklahoma to be in the Championship game this year.

Not impressive one bit, but a win is a win. We blow them out, we were supposed to, we eek by, we "lose". Whatever. Poor calls, schitty weather and a crazed fanbase certainly gave UCF a pretty hefty boost.

We have several receivers out, an offensive line yet to gel and an idiot offensive coordinator. Hopefully, Davis will let Colt take over like he did with Vince. PLAY ACTION, FTMFW!!!

Anyway, don't make me remind you of 2005.

How 'bout a friendly Red River Rivalry wager of $20 via PayPal? No lines, just straight-up win? You in?

They might be, who knows, we'll see. You can have your basketball, I don't really care for it. Of course, I hope OU does well in all their sports, as I'm sure you do with UK.

You are correct :)

:alc:

I do have correct a mistake I made. UK doesn't play Sth Carolina this week, it's Florida Atlantic (who?) Then it's SC,LSU,Fla

I never bet on the Longhorns. We'll see how his week goes. OU had some vulnerabilities exposed against Tulsa and Texas had a complete game against Baylor. How'd you like John Chiles? You might get a steady diet of him in a couple of weeks. Plus, our coaching staff has FINALLY realized that our young linebackers are better (MUCH) than the seniors.

We got upswing. Not saying it'll be a blow out, but the fear factor dissipates and that is the recipe for an "upset".

WOW! Longhorns go down, Sooners go down, Mountaineers go down, Rutgers go down.... what's left? I might have to watch the Auburn Florida game now...

Oh and my LSU tigers didn't fare much better. They won, but man was that first half was sloppy... I hope we get it together in time for Florida.

**Update**

LAWL!! Florida went down in a ball of flames too! Half of the top 10 lost with most losing to unranked teams! To bad USC pulled their game out of the fire at the last minute. :(

What a great Saturday!

So much for upswing. We looked HORRIBLE!!! The coaches set those kids up for failure.

Kentucky is #8!!!! woohoo!!
http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/polls

What is with the polls this year? Usually if a team loses they lose maybe 4-6 spots. Texas went from 7, to 19 in the AP poll! There have been some BIG losses.
Michigan goes from 5 to out
Notre Dame goes from 9 to out
Arkansas goes from 12 to out
Louisville drops from 9 to 21 (then out the next week)

I am just proud to have UK in the 8 spot, let's hope they can stay there for a while. :D
