thats a the best vid so far.
Can anyone with the beta look at how much memory is being used w/ high using vidmemwatcher or rivatuner? Just curious to see how optimized it is at this point (an interesting thing to note for us with the 8800GTS 320 and below)..

lol
learn this: a new game needs a new graphics card
time to sell your 9800pro i think haha
Dude, I have an 8800GTX...This was one part in the submarine where you can dive under it. The rest of the sub was about 20-50fps.

haha, those birds are awesome
Man, people need to license this engine and make RPGs... I can already tell that the engine's effects just ooze atmosphere and realism.
An adventure game (like the old point and click style but 3d) with this engine would be amazing as well.
I wonder if the mod tools will be flexible enough for the average joe to make something like that...

PLEEZE DONT SHOOT THE BIRDEEZ :(
I can't believe I thought the graphics sucked at first .. the screenshots just DO NOT do this game justice. Even with the jaggies in the videos, it still looks SO much better in motion. I have absolutely zero complaints after seeing those videos. Even if the game looked like this in single-player, I'd be satisfied.
Jonelo: Sorry if you've answered/mentioned this before, but what are your PC specs and what settings are you running the game on?
Those videos are just mindblowing!
8800 gtx + c2 2750 mhz and AA 8x . In videos, the game looks better. But the last videoes has some artifacts in the color of the sand, it is one limitation of the Divx codec and my videocoder - Dr Divx

Buy a fileplanet account for 9.95, even if you have to make a new one, and when you get the beta CANCEL it. You're out 9 bucks and you've got the 9.95 founders club monthly.
I use to be a gamespy helper, and yes fileplanet is rather cheap with their service. EA are buddy buddy with Gamespy and Fileplanet, so it only makes since that fileplanet would have exclusive rights to an EA game.
impressive usage of stage6, I hope they get some more use in the future for inline videos. divx isn't exactly multi platform like flash, but the quality achieved from its low bitrate streamed vids (these HD ones are a bad example, not really realtime) are head and shoulders above flash players.

So the game actually looks better than anything we've seen video-wise?

Exactly what I was thinking while watching them .. the quality is incredible. I hope to see Stage6 used more often.

Yup. It looks way better in motion than in the screenshots. And I'm suprised how well it plays even at low frame rates. I was just playing a round where my FPS was ~25 on average. And it was still totally playable. didn't seem jerky. I think it's because of the motion blur.

A bit. The first capture with the FRAPS in AVI is perfect, later happens to MPEG 2 in the montage. Here the master loses a bit, very few quality. In Divx for the upload to Stage6 is where more loses. Loses sharpening and especially it is very easy that appear artifacts in the more difficult scenes, with many colors and vegetation
