I noticed that too, its probably a bug.

depends on how it work, if it cloaks you with the environment there would still be a shadow where your body blocks the light - more realistic if you ask me. If you really go invisible then there wouldn't be - kinda lame.

Not necessarly. I assume the cloak function of the suit works like LCD screen with many little pixels which display the surroundings depending on the angle of the viewer. Similar tech already exists now (very early in the development) but it doesn´t dematerialize you, it´s just a new kind of camonflage, a way to blend you with the surroundings. Therefore it´s correct that a shadow still appears because you are still physically there and the lightrays still catch you.... so to say. :)

EDIT: Yup, conroejoe was faster.

Hopefully the next round of Beta keys is out this morning ! I've been reading allot of other forums and the rumor is that they will come out this morning.

THEY BETTER. Or I'm cancelling my fileplanet subscription.

That's exactly what I told fileplanet support. If I don't get a key I'm cancelling my subscription too.

That freeze gun is awesome, I like how the soldier falls to the ground and shatters...

Anyone else notice the birds move kinda weird, when they first start moving the legs are stiff and the bird just glides along the sand... I know I know minor nit picking point but damn with everything around it looking so good it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb...

Crysis Multiplayer Beta - Community Clarification Print E-mail

Here is an important message from Crytek regarding the multiplayer Beta program. It is highly recommended and encouraged that everyone takes their time and reads the following message through entirely.

Crysis Multiplayer Beta - Community Clarification

Greetings Community!

Today we would like to take the time to clarify some hot topics that appeared on many forums of your Fan & Community Sites. It is mainly related to the Beta and should address the biggest concerns of our community. We hope that people take the time to read through this whole email.

Now let’s get started with the first topic…

Missing public announcement

As many of you may have recognized, there was no public announcement from either EA or Crytek regarding the Crysis MP Beta. The reason for this was that this batch 1 of the Beta is an internal test only and is not the actual start. The official Beta for Fileplanet subscribers is almost ready and there will be a huge global announcement with lots of information included. Additionally this announcement is just the beginning of an upcoming community focus – so expect a lot more information in form of screenshots, videos, reports, events and much more to be ready for you!

Batch 1 – Friends & Family internal test

Quite a few of you wonder why you haven’t had any chance to sign-up for the first batch of the Beta. This was due to this first batch being available for a pre-selected group only. The members of this group are people who have been invited by EA and/or Crytek to join the Beta program of Crysis. There has been a very limited number of available keys for them. Additionally Fileplanet gave a few of their Founder’s Club Members the chance to sign-up for this event as well.

This is our final test to verify the stability before the initial Beta begins. It is an important test for EA and Crytek since we can see how everything works under real life conditions. This internal test is not directly related to the rest of the Beta. Therefore we did not plan to official announce it.

Payment required to access the Beta? No!

We have read a lot of posts about people who mentioned that you need to pay additional money to be able to join the Beta. Just let me get this straight – this is definitely not the case. When you have a subscriber account you will be able to sign-up for one of the upcoming batches.

The payment many of you have been discussing about was related to the Founder’s Club membership of Fileplanet which was needed to get one of the very few places in the first batch. Founder’s Club membership is not necessary to take part in the upcoming batches.

Crysis Beta leaked information

On behalf of Crytek and EA we ask you to not post any content if you signed up for the Beta. It is a closed event and is covered by a NDA you have accepted during the sign-up process. Posting screenshots, videos or other internal information from the Beta is a violation of the NDA and will cause in an immediate and permanent ban from the Beta program.

As a Fan & Community Site we ask you to monitor your forums and chime in when necessary. Also please do not post any news on your site that includes internal information from the Beta. Even though the interest from the public audience in such an event is greater than expected, we still do not want to see internal information on a public forum or web site.

The whole Community Team has tons of exclusive information and content available for the Crysis community during the whole Beta program. So be prepared for some exciting weeks and please respect the rules of the NDA.

So that’s it from our side. Thanks a lot for giving us the opportunity to write this email to you. We hope the hot topics got clarified now.

What a bunch of crap.

I'm starting to lose interest.. lol you can only sit here and wait for so long..

I think the best idea is just to wait for the official demo (for those who aren't morons like me and sign up for a Founders club account and get shafted)

Founder’s Club membership is not necessary to take part in the upcoming batches.

That's good... so normal subscription will allow us to get the key in upcoming batches...

Well the (lee63) version allready leaked has a code that lets you install it, just waiting for the crack that will undoubtedly appear shortly, with that in mind they will have to release this test fast or the demo as it will be all over the net pretty soon.

To answer some posts about performance, once all the bugs get driven out by these betas, I garentee a stock GTX will eat this game up easily. My ultra is that and more, but the beta is pretty buggy for me.

Overall though, this beta is probably one of the smoother betas I've ever tried so I'm still very excited for this game. It seems pretty well polished despite some bugs that are annoying.

I'm playing at 1650x1080 4x AA and it's high fps all the time. Like I said a few random bugs and leaks that would cause fps to go lower. Once those are fixed, should be very good gameplay, smooth.

Something that just kills me right now, is all the motion and realism that's in this game. It's so small and sometimes hard to notice but wow, does it make this game something else!

EDIT: Jakup, hopefully you know what to do now in that level. It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

Thanks Juice. You are the only one that actually commented on the game its self. I don't care about performance in a Beta or the textures and such. I just want to know if it is fun to mess around with.
