Did anyone consider that the reason that It is a closed BETA (eg pay to get in) is that they dont want to spoil it for everyone? Seriously if the large percentage of their customers saw the graphics first hand, it would lose a lot of interest very quickly wehter it ran like schitt or not ;)

Call me crazy but I am seeing a decent FPS increase of about 20% with the new 163.71 beta drivers in Vista 32-bit. maybe they got SLI working some now.

I love the way the bushes move around with the world, eg I was using a rocket to take out a sentry gun and the rocket was flying over a palm tree leave and it would just jolt when the rocket passed, didn't even notice it because it looked natural but eventually I saw it moving 8D

yea it seem the incrysis bit was a sham. I mean... if your going to favor your old user base completely, and you don't even have enough keys for them, why even bother with the public sign up? what a waste of time. I guess we can say crytek totaly farked their beta test. Oh well.. maybe the scene will cookup a cracked version anyone can play in like lan mode.

lol i dont know but i saw it yesterday...damn!
i was camping at one island and was testing diffrent graphics settings.
and suddenly BAAAAAAAM!..the biggest mother ****ing explosion i have seen.
i was quitting the graphics menu fast just to see where the the sound came from...didnt see it all but the nuclear exsplosion is something new thats for sure..you will **** in your pants..hehe

does a Quad Core boost the FPS in the beta or not?

im starting to think that my Dual Core CPU is the bottleneck since i get the same FPS in 800*600 compared to 1280*960

jeffmd! : can you do a test and dissable 2 cores and compare your fps at 1280*960 res

Where the hell are all the weapons? I've looked around and the only ones I can find are where people have been killed. It's kinda hard killing a dude with a SMG when you have a pistol. Am I just being dumb?

I've got another 2gig of RAM on the way, in an hour or 2. I'll post the results as soon as i've installed em. I'm hoping the issue with Vista is the lack of RAM left for the game to use. We'll see soon!

Anyone know if there is a way to spectate in first person mode rather than third. It seems only third person is available... :(
