I played on day & night cycle server!! :D
It's buggy, haha.

But the change not is gradual in the beta like in Stalker ;) . And not is the same lighting . But nice

Moon's light too strong!!! Same shadows alldays, hehe. :P

Was playing on it about 20 or so minutes ago and got disconnected, havent seen it since.

Was, and that was for tomorrow. Make your 9 to 10 on the month column and you get the date.
850 MB is the maximun . In some moments , the framerate is 1 . Like in one 8800 gts 320 mb in some games .
And speaking about another thing, ... in Quake Wars the Vram usage is 450 mb with AA 8X , and without HDR , masive softshadows ... etc ;)
Yes but no card(s) can currently run it smoothly at those settings anyways :p I'm happily playing it at 4xAA 1680x1050 and never see more than 250mb or so. But then again the GTSs aren't really meant for the real high resolutions in newer games..

because bad programing
with good programing the gfx must have 100% fps then actually
I'm thinking about going back to dual boot just so I can have a go at a decent FPS on high. I'm getting 15-30 FPS with one card and the settings on high at 1680 x 1050. If I change some carefully selected options to medium the FPS doubles and there is very little difference in the graphics.
Does anyone actually know if there is gonna be a beta 3?
Edit: Also, I can't get in the any of the threads in the beta forum ATM. Is it just me or are they down?

Good, I hope they buy ALL THE DEMO EXCLUSIVES. That way I can get them earlier then everyone else and with great speeds without having to worry about servers getting hammered when something big comes out.
I LOVE paying for the SERVICE they PROVIDE.
You are DUMB for PAYING for a FREE product. If the local WalMart was giving away FREE cases of beer, would you drive to the H.E.B instead and pay $40 for the same beer?

also why release it for everyone. Once everyone has seen the graphics most of the hype will go ;)
Most people are being dripfed on screenshots heightening tension. Good marketing :)

The .exe isnīt recognized as a virus here.
Yes, I had to uninstall AVG, as it kept giving Crysis.exe a false-positive reading as a virus. Check the beta forums for more info. :) AVG also gave said Quake 4 was a virus, as well as other games.
AVG is piece of ****, better use Avast :)

okay cool, thanks for the replies. i was worried. avg is usually decent, detects threats that even norton doesn't pick up.. but yeah picking up something that's not actually a threat is really dumb.
i had to re-install the beta. blah. i'll get a different anti-virus.

I really really hope that the full game performs better. I just played this some more today and it seems like an awesome game, it just needs smoother framerates and less hitching\chopping as things load in.

Have you played it in WinXP? I just went back to XP after two weeks of Vista on my new system. It runs so much smoother on XP then it did in Vista, in fact, everything does.
