When playing for me my screen gets stuck with what I was previously looking at. Almost like its artifacting.

i agree it looks ****ing amazing!
just look at the light effects so damn real! :)
i havnt seen anything that comes close to this yet on a PC

Yep I was worried about the low setting being stuck, but i put it on low just to see and found out that it was on high anyways.

Enough time to post a shot showing the graphic option menu ;)

played for a minute, performance was about 30-40FPS, plus had shadows corruption

But i did have 8x CSAA, Supersampling AA and Gama-AA, 16x AF forced in control panel

Once i get home I will try 4xAA in game with 16xAF.

that was at 1680x1050 res

The settings wont stick in menu but when you set it to high in game they are at high. If you set it to low you can see a big diffrence.
Yup you're right. Ok so how about AA? Anybody getting it to work? I've tried forcing it in the CP....still doesn't work. I'm using the new drivers (163.67)....don't know what else to try.

If you want to run Transparency AA then use Multisampling and stay far far away from Supersampling as it will eat your performance alive while not looking noticeably any better than Multisampling which doesnt even hardly hurt your performance.

Disable Supersampling and watch your FPS literally go up by 20 or so.

I hate to seem negative, but I do have to agree. So far these beta shots look like Quake Wars...the UI looks very similar and there's a certain look to the visuals that reminds me all too much of QW. But i'm not holding anything against this beta since we all know the game does look far better (we've all seen the videos)... Might skip this and just wait for the full game. :)

I agree about the bad images and it's because of these 56k friendly screen shots that are in heavily compressed JPEG format.

I know the difference, so far every game runs fine with Supersampling, so why not use it

Guys you also are forgetting you cant really get an accurate estimate as to how performance is going to be with the single player demo or the final game by playing this Multilayer Beta because a lot of performance eating attributes such as enemy AI etc are not present in a multilayer beta.


Ever play far cry multilayer and compare it to how it runs to the single mode play? the difference is in the FPS is freakin huge!
