Played the beta for the first time today. It was ok. Still hyped for the sp, as far as those dx9 and 10 shots go, just seems like different lighting cast on everything in dx10.

I like the motion blur...helps give the game a more realistic look and hides the lower res textures. And yeah...motion blur is done in dx9 as well.

Played the beta on this projector last night and all day today..

http://www.projectorcentral.com/Acer-PD100.htm

Going from a 22" lcd, to a screen half the size of the wall is phenomenal to say the least.

Crysis has never looked so good, my jaw literally dropped all over again.

Everything looked just incredible it's really hard to describe. But if you get
the chance to check it out, do so !

This not is a Home cimema proyector, is a multimedia or presentations proyector , with low contrast and low resolution . And maybe noisy with a 2000 lumens lamp . Better with one 720p proyector for home cinema , like Mitsubishi 3100 (http://www.cine4home.com/reviews/projectors/MitsuHC3100-1100/HC3100-1100Review.htm), 4000 (http://www.bwayphoto.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=825378), Optoma H79 (http://www.bwayphoto.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=3086820) Optoma HD72 (http://www.bwayphoto.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=1011374) Optoma HD72 (http://www.bwayphoto.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=1055070) Optoma HD80 (http://www.bwayphoto.com/viewproduct.aspx?id=3591389) etc ANSI and on/off contrast ratio up to 600 ANSI and 3000- 4000 : 1 on /off , is the real measure in the reviews , without iris , about 1000- 1500 dolars price

I switched from XP to Vista about a week ago, and right now, everything runs faster on Vista. Including the Crysis beta. As soon as I switched from XP to Vista, I could immediately tell the difference. It almost has to be something wrong with your computers, because I have no problems with my games running terribly.

I find that hard to believe.

+1

The Beta has never been supported for Vista anyhow. I switched from Vista to XP and I got a 30FPS increase lol.

lol okay whatever, the point is it was free, and it looks amazing. besides the crysis beta, even at 1280x1024 looks amazing when the screen is half the size of the wall.. not to mention it runs flawlessly with 8xaa on high.

Yeah right. :headexplode:

It's true.

Well, actually, I never reinstalled my Anti Virus software when I put Vista on here. I guess that could be the reason.

Believe what you will. I could definately tell the difference.

I dont totally disagree, i had the wow factor for a while to when i first ran Vista, i'm sure the longer it runs the slower & more bloated it gets, the only true demonstration of what it is capable of for me was the game Lost Planet, very fast & very smooth in DX10.

Well, the experience of the great screen is the same ;), but you imagine 1280 x 720 - or 1920 x 1080 - instead of 800 x 600, and with the double of contrast and a good blacks and colors ;). Forgives me if I have been rude, but many people think that a multimedia projector with many lumens is the best thing for video - cinema- or videogames. It is a mistake, they do not have the best quality of image , his principal characteristic is the luminosity and Lumens , for use with ambient light in presentations . The best projectors are used without light , in dark rooms, like in the cinema ;).

I haven't played the Crysis since the first Beta came out... have any of the updates helped performance?

Beta 3 help performance quite a bit but it's still tough to pull decent frame rates at anything above low settings. :(

Still, it is much more enjoyable after beta 3. Graphics have also improved with beta 3 IMO. Also, there have been MANY fixes since beta 1.

Man 250000 views for this thread. Looks like Crysis is gonna sell by the truckload. It will probably outsell UT3 and hopefully Half Life 2.

Is that confirmed (a week away)? I haven't spent a lot of time with the MP beta since I'm mostly interested in the SP. So, if that's true, that's great news.
