isn't cloning mostly still illegal?
Yeah, I think only one or two countries actually allow it. And in those few, I haven't seen any promising results. If I got a clone, I'd want one like in The Island, where you got one for spare body parts. That would be awesome. Kidney failure? Forget dialysis, I'll just a new one!
lol, but seriously. I'm talking about the cloning of your desktop across two monitors, just in case people actually don't know what I'm talking about...
I've got this weird problem where it won't stick. I'll click Apply, Yes to keep settings, and then it will just jump back to Single display...

LOL I hope your not holding out for the 200 series and GeForce 9. If Nvidia stays true driver support for the GeForce 8 series will be few and far between like it is now for the 6 and 7.
Nvidia needs functionality and performance, there is still no SLI AA in Vista and performance in SLI is trash, I get 1000 point increase in 3D Mark 2006 when enabling SLI and most of the games I am playing see dismal performance increase even some see performance decreases when I enable SLI. Nvidia needs to get their act together... $1400 in video cards and its utterly useless under Vista.
I feel your pain cuz I'm the same.
AFAIK the next release is a mid range G80 card to counter the recently announced mid range HD refresh. I therefore think that driver support will continue for quite some time.
Also, remember the 6 & 7 series cards are DX9 and the 8 series/9 series are DX10 so newer drivers will support the 8 series.
Vista driver support has been a disaster for both NV & ATI and both companies should be doing better IMHO.
Well we shall see LOL.
Is anyone having problems with Madden 08 and these drivers? I noticed anything above 163.44 will cause texture problems with all the models. I tried a clean install with xdc cleaner and it's still the same issue. I also noticed when I exit the game, there is a brief warning that looks like Nvlddmkm on the taskbar but no details. I thought the Nvlddmkm errors only affected the 680i boards?
Yeah the 163 drivers cause serious issues with the textures as well as nvlddmkm errors. My video card is a brand new EVGA 8800 ultra, only 9 days old sigh. I did however go back to the 162.22 drivers and things are stable.
I do see we both are using crucial memory as well as the same psu...maybe coincidence or part of the problem who knows. I have done so many reformats and reinstalls to see if I could get the 163s to work. I will just await the new drivers and see what is up.

Vista X64 driver makes BSOD and fails to resume from S3 state on Intel D975XBX2. Microsoft says that the source of error is the Nvidia driver. I have MSI 7600GT Diamond Plus nvidia card, all stock settings.:thumbdwn:
