do you have to remove the backplate from a zalman hsf, if you want to install a push pin cooler?

i know this is a dumb question, but an answer would be appreciated.

Thanks but the 1st time I asked about installing another zalman cooler.

I was wondering if you have to take it off if you want to install a push-pin cooler that doesn't require a backplate.

I'd appreciate any answers.

Take a guess, dude.

If there's something, let's just speculate it's a Zalman backplate, blocking a pushpin from protruding and latching through then it obviously needs to go.

Thanks for bringing up this issue. I've been staying up late at night trying to decide what to do, and would appreciate any answers.
