IDF 2007: New codename scheme, again
We wrote about D8E in June and you can read about it here. It is a mainstream card that Nvidia plans to reveal in November. The high end part won't be codenamed G92 and it will be known as D8E where D stands for Desktop, 8 for the eight generation and finally E as an Enthusiast.
D8E and D8V where V stands for Value comes in November while the high end part will be pushed in early 2008.
The cards support Display Port, PCIe 2.0 and DirectX 10.1 and it is the 65 nanometre part.

I'd love this, I hate waiting for half of a products life-time to be able to buy a midrange card.
i think the guys over at nvidia at have a good old time ****ing with frads head...

That sentence is a little confusing, it states the D8E and D8V will be here in November. D8E is supposedly an enthusiast part, right? So what's the difference between enthusiast and high end, and why has everyone here assumed that this means only a midrange part this year?
Ok, so the article has been changed since it was quoted, makes sense now, and not good news indeed. :(

D8M and D8V where V stands for Value comes in November while the high end D8E part will be pushed in early 2008.
Maybe my explainable will make it easier for you to understand:
Here are 3 versions...
D8E = Enthusiast (High end)
D8M = Mainstream (Mid end)
D8V = Value (Low end)
In the past we used to called it old words high, mid and low end but in the last few years NVIDIA changed and preferred to called it new words enthusiast, mainstream and value. :)
Mainstream D8M and Value D8V will launch in November 2007, pity we have to wait last for Enthusiast D8E in early 2008. :p

Fudzilla...Fuad = ex-inquirer...as the name of the site suggests this is simply more FUD. No reputable source has this information (that I can find), and if it came from IDF you would figure someone else would be carrying this news without sourcing Fzilla.
This is just inquirer...errr scuse me Fuad following the ole "cover any rumor" strat to say they were right...
