Either put what I have in my sig together (with a faster processor) or get the Asus P4T533 Motherboard.

CPU: 3.2GHz P4 800MHZ FSB (Soon...)
Mobo: Asus P4C800 Intel "Canterwood". (Soon...)
Memory - 2 x 512Mb Corsair XMS PC3500.
Hard Drive - WD Special Edition, or wait for the 10000rpm WD Raptor.

The rest? I dunno...

If money is indeed no issue, why not go with an Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI controller and a couple of real nice 15,000RPM seagates? Ditch the IDE..

It is benched against PC1066. At stock speeds it is nothing to get excited over. At overclocked speeds, they left PC1066 @ 1066... so that is a bit unfair.

Looks like AMD3D also tested using a 2.4GHz 533MHz FSB Pentium 4 processor to test the ASUS P4C800 board. If they had used a 800MHz FSB P4 CPU then I imagine the memory bandwidth numbers would have been even higher for DDR.

My Dual-Channel DDR runs neck and neck (actually, just a wee bit faster) than any 850E I've gone up against. I have the fastest P4 mobo on the market currently. And Intel is dropping RD for a reason. Dual-Channel DDR is where it's at.

Get Granite Bay if you are an overclocker. I can't complain about my system, heh.

The Canterwood chipset is throwing a stick in the spokes of my plans for a new AMD based system. I might actually have to consider this as a possible alternative, even if it will be much more cost prohibitive.
